Frequently Asked Questions
Below are some of the most common question about our type of summer camp. If you require more information, please do not hesitate to contact us here
-
Is OGC an overnight or day camp?OGC is a day camp only. Our camp is four days of intense gymnastics training.
-
What are the camp dates and daily hours?Camp typically runs 4 days from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. We kindly request that on the first day you arrive between 8-8:45AM to insure check-in, payment and make sure your gymnast is placed in the proper Group.
-
What is the coach-to-gymnast ratio? We maintain a low ratio of 1 coach per 8(+-1) gymnasts to ensure individual attention and safety.
-
How are the gymnastics levels grouped?Gymnasts are placed into groups based on their skill level, but some groups may include a mix of levels depending on the number of participants. With 10 USAG levels, all Xcel levels, AAU levels, High School levels, etc., we have to combine campers by skill into 5–6 groups depending on camp size. All groups will have mixed levels within the group, where our staff will assign level-appropriate, individualized assignments based on each gymnast’s abilities. While it may seem like your gymnast isn’t in the ideal group, please know that all campers are continuously evaluated. Our coaches strive to place each gymnast where she’ll be challenged, supported, and encouraged—without being overwhelmed.
-
Are photos available with Olympians and Special Guests?Yes!. OGC will take photos with your gymnast and special guest/Olympians. These photos are 8x10 on premium photo paper and will be available for purchaseat the camp pro shop. Purchase is not necessary but please sign up to make sure you don’t miss this opportunity.
-
Will there be any guest appearances or special events during the week?Yes! Occasionally, former Olympians or collegiate gymnasts visit for Q&A sessions, autographs and photos. Photos will be available to purchase that special guest will autograph.
-
What levels of gymnastics does the camp accommodate?Level 2-10-Elite, All Xcel levels, AAU and High School. We group them based on skill level.
-
Are parents allowed to watch training during the week? While we understand the desire to observe, we kindly ask that parents refrain from watching during regular camp hours. Parental presence can sometimes distract gymnasts and impact their focus and progress. Additionally, our viewing area is limited, and large groups can become overwhelming for both athletes and families. However, parents are welcome to watch the last 30 minutes of camp, space permitting.
-
Can my child switch groups once camp has started?Campers will be separated into levels when they arrive on the first day. We will reassign a camper to a different group if a camper’s skill level or comfort suggests a better fit.
-
What’s the policy on camper absences or arriving late? Please notify us if your child will be absent or late. Missed days are not refundable.
-
Do you offer discounts?Yes, we offer a cash discount. To receive it, please register online by paying a non-refundable deposit with a credit card. Then, bring the remaining balance (with the discount applied) in cash, placed in an envelope labeled with your gymnast’s name. Sealing the envelope is not required.
-
Will my child get a camp certificate or award?Yes! Each camper receives a participation certificate at the end of camp. Additionally, we will have prizes for contest winners and camper of the day.
-
Can my child attend partial days instead of the whole week?Yes, We offer prorated rates for campers attending more than two days, provided space is available. Please note that prorating is not an option if the camp is sold out.
-
Is there a lost and found in case something is left behind? No. Due to the high number of participants, we are unable to guarantee the return of lost items. While we will do our best to assist with any requests, retrieval is not guaranteed. To help avoid confusion, please label all of your child’s belongings clearly.
-
Are there any team-building or social activities to help kids make friends?Definitely! We include icebreakers, partner drills, team challenges, and spirit days to build camaraderie.

In such cases, we adjust accordingly by providing more frequent hydration breaks to keep everyone safe and refreshed.
-
How do you handle discipline or behavior issues? We promote a positive and respectful environment through clear rules and consistent positive reinforcement. Serious behavioral concerns are addressed directly with parents and may lead to dismissal if not resolved. Bullying is strictly prohibited—any gymnast found engaging in bullying will be sent home immediately without a refund!
-
What happens in case of bad weather or a power outage? As an indoor facility, we continue programming as usual to the best of our abilities. In extreme emergencies, we follow our safety evacuation procedures
-
